If the tired shoe fits...

The occupation of a ballerina is notorious for being the epitome of' beauty', but a dancer must endure pain and ache to reach this standard. Many ballerinas mould and twist their shoes to achieve either a slight bit of comfort, or to provide balance and support for their desired stance. Despite being used and worn out, the shoes still manage to display a sense of beauty. The pink streaks in the background hint towards the pain and (sometimes blood) that a dancer may go through.
